What is Master slide?
Master Slide.
In Microsoft PowerPoint, the master slide is the slide that controls all the information about the theme, layout, background, colors, fonts, and positioning of the slides. Using the master slide can be an easy way to adjust the appearance of an existing theme or make changes to all the slides in your presentation.
If you want to have the same layout on all the slides in your presentation or have the same color, the same formatting or the same font, you will use the master slide.
If you want your company logo to appear on the background or top of all the slides in your presentation, or if your company name is in the headings of all the slides, these will put the logo and name in the master slide. This way the logo and company name will appear on all the slides in the presentation.
Advantages of the master slide.
Instead of having to format each slide individually {if you want all the slides to be the same formatting}, if you go to the master slide and format only one slide, this formatting will automatically apply to all the slides.

How to use a master slide?
Follow the steps to use the Master slide:
➤ Go to the View option in the menu bar.
➤ Click "Master Slide".

➤ After clicking, a view like this will appear.

➤ Here's the slide number 1, the slide master.
➤ Edit whatever you need to edit on Slide 1.
NOTE
The big first slide is the actual Slide Master and any changes you make in the master slide affect all other slides. However, any changes you make to a layout slide only changes that slide.
How to Return to Normal View?
After editing the master slide, click close master view and you will come to the normal view of the slide.

In the normal view, you will see the same formatting that you have applied to the slide master on each slide.
