What is layout and
what is it used for?
We have read about Slide Views and how many are there. Now we will learn about layout. what is layout and where it is used. In PowerPoint we usually do not write on an empty slide. To compose text on a slide, some boxes are prefixed on the slide that contains the text type, which is called layout.
Layout.
Slide layout contains the formatting, positioning and text box / placeholder of all the content that appears on the slide. Slide layout consists of text box / placeholder dotted containers in which you can type all text, any content such as clip art, any image, audio or video.
Types of Layout.
PowerPoint has 9 pre-made (built in) layouts that you can use to suit your needs.

If you do not want to use any of these layouts, you can also create your own custom layout or edit these created layouts.
Where can I find slide layouts?
Follow the steps below to apply the layout to any slide.
1-Select the slide on which to layout.
2-Go to Toolbar Ribbon.
3-Select Home > Layout.
